Reviews

Safer than not filtering and reduces bottled water.

"Safer than not filtering and reduces buying bottled water. I haven’t tested all that it filters. I have used it sometimes at work when the water tastes funny, during boil water notices, and when hiking/backpacking. I do question on the purification part. I tested the water post filter with a TDS tester and the result is the same as tap water pre-filter. Not sure if that should be the case. I would still use and recommend the product with questionable waters. Especially if traveling in other countries."

Water taste better

"After researching many water filter and purifier methods, I find this filter to be the best for taking out viruses, bacteria, micro plastics, and helps to improve water taste. After getting sick in Mexico by drinking the water, I now take a Grayl with me wherever I go."

Q&A

I found my Ultrapress in the cupboard and it had water in it. The water may be years old. Is my filter cartridge still good? I cleaned everything off but didn’t want to mess with the cartridge.
Since your filters have been improperly stored for a significant amount of time, they will 100% need to be replaced.
Why are you charging extra for the one way valve when you previously said it would be included with a cartridge as a standard feature ?
Every Grayl purifier bottle purchased from grayl.com comes with the one way valve as a standard feature. However, there are a lot of Grayl bottles out in the wild that do not yet have this feature, that is why we offer the valve as a standalone item, so other users can upgrade their existing bottles.
Will pre-filtering water with hollow membrane filter positively affect this cartridge rated lifespan and if so, than how many additional cycles could be expected?
Pre-filtering is a great way to preserve the lifespan of a Grayl purifier cartridge, but the maximum lifespan cannot be extended.
Is this the filer needed for the ultralight? If not do you still sale them?
Yes, the UltraPress® Replacement Purifier Cartridge is compatible with the Ultralight.
I have an Ultrapress. And I love it. But I was wondering how I can get the one way valve for the filter cartridge like they talk about for the filter cartridge on the Titanium model. Thanks!
Soon (within a few weeks), all of our replacement purifier cartridges will come standard with the one-way valve.
