Geo press cartridge

"I purchased additional cartridges for my bottles. I am stocking up for the future and will buy a couple more soon. Product is very easy to use and takes up very little space in your luggage or carry-on. I travel overseas with these bottles and have clean water everywhere I go. With the uncertainty of the water supply with mother nature events and everything else going on in the world I am confident I will have clean water wherever I go."

From Everyday Carry to Thru-Hikes — My Go-To Water System

"I absolutely love the Grayl system and honestly use it every single day. For long thru-hikes, I carry the 16 oz titanium version for cooking, and paired with a PocketRocket, it’s become my go-to setup — simple, lightweight, and really all I need. I also use the larger plastic version for everyday use. After years of use, I can confidently say Grayl has become one of my favorite and most trusted filtration systems out there. Reliable, versatile, and by far one of the best water filtration systems I’ve used."

Excellent Filter

"Backpacked the Paria Canyon using the filter from the few springs along the 40 mile hike. It worked great but it takes longer than 8-10 seconds as they state. More like 25-30 seconds and that’s from clear water and a new cartridge."

"We use the GeoPress for Camping and Hiking. The replacement filter is easy to install and you are right back to the clean, pure water just like the original."

Mark M. (5/5)

Nice to have a back

"Nice to have a back up filter. . . easy to change."

James K. (5/5)

Short term

"While Grails filter remove and filter most things they don’t last long only 250 liters compared to the MSR guardian Wich filter 10000 liters it’s a small filter amount."

Geo press replacement filter

"Product looks well made. The purification process looks easy to use. Needed a replacement filter for my Geo press as a standby when needed . bought 2 when a price savings was offered"

David S. (5/5)

I had a MSG in

"I had a MSG in the Army tell me that it made the water in the water buffalo taste fresh and I was sold. Great for in the field and when you travel out of the country and not sure how safe the water is."

Q&A

Is the inner press, top, and outer shell dishwasher safe?
All bottle components (besides for the filter), should be handwashed with warm water and soap.
Hi I was wondering if these filters are freeze safe for cold climates? If the water freezes in the bottle with the filter is the filter safe to use?
Thank you so much for reaching out. They are perfectly functional after a single freeze and thaw cycle, but are not viable after multiple freeze and thaw cycles. Precautions around freezing only apply to wet filters.
I see you no longer sell the blue filters, the ones that only treat for taste. Will you be bringing them back or are you strictly selling the purifying filters only?
In addition to being a purifier, the current cartridges are also filters. Meaning, they also improve taste (odor and color) as they are loaded with ultra-powdered activated carbon.
What is the difference in the orange filter and the black one? Other than color.
Thank you so much for your question. There is no difference between orange and black replacement purifier cartridges other than for the color.
What is your disinfection agent to safely ingest water after it has passed through your system
There is no disinfecting agent after water has passed through the system. The water being filtered is purified by the purifier cartridge itself during the pressing process, not after. This is accomplished with the combination of electroadsorption and ultra-powdered activated carbon.
